Tell us the inspiration behind making the Lavender Pillow Mist.
Our Lavender Pillow Mist was born from a very simple need: to help people truly switch off. Life is busy, noisy, and often overstimulating, especially at night, when our minds should be resting but are still racing. We wanted to create a gentle ritual that signals to both body and mind that it’s safe to slow down. Lavender has been used for centuries to calm the nervous system, but it’s less about fragrance and more about intention, a small moment of calm before deep and restful sleep.
What are some ways you reduce stress and promote relaxation before bedtime to improve sleep and overall well-being?
I’m a big believer in rituals over rules. For me, winding down starts with reducing stimulation, dimming lights, stepping away from screens, and creating a peaceful environment. I love a warm shower, a good book and a spritz of our Lavender Pillow Mist as a cue that the day is nearly done. Even five minutes of stillness can make a huge difference. Consistency matters more than perfection, small, repeated habits help train your body to relax naturally over time.
What is good sleep for you? Is the recommended 8 hours a must, or is that a myth?
I think good sleep is deeply personal. While eight hours is a helpful guideline, it’s not one-size-fits-all. For me, quality matters more than quantity, waking up feeling rested, clear-headed, and energised is the real measure. I can have 8 or 9 hours of sleep but wake feeling exhausted if I haven’t made it into a deep, restorative sleep, usually from too much caffeine during the day. Listening to your body and respecting its rhythms is far more important than chasing a number on the clock.
Have all your dreams come true? If so, what are they? And if not, what are some dreams you wish would be fulfilled in your lifetime?
Some dreams have come true in ways I never expected, being part of a brand that genuinely helps people feel better in their own skin is something I’m incredibly grateful for. But dreams evolve. I still dream of slowing life down a little more, of seeing wellness become less of a luxury and more of a daily priority for everyone. Personally, I’d love more time for creativity, connection, and nature. If there’s one dream that remains constant, it’s to keep building things that are meaningful, honest, and rooted in care, for people, and for the world around us.
