Moroccan Luminous Tan

For best application avoid using bare hands is possible. Step 1: Remove impurities from your skin using the By Nature Pink Clay Mask
Step 2: Cleanse your skin thoroughly with the Luxi Buff Cleanser
Step 3: Apply a small amount of the Rata and Co. Facial Oil (from September Boxes)
Step 4: (Optional) Apply your base layer foundation
Step 5: Apply the light highlighter colour on your cheekbones, down your nose, on your brow bones, and on the inner corners of your eyes.
Step 6: To contour, follow the shadows of your *own* face shape with the bronze and rose coloured highlighter pigments. If you feel your jaw isn’t as defined as you’d like, blend some of the bronze along your jawbone. If you want to chisel your cheeks, blend a line of bronze contour beneath your cheekbones. If you love your nose, leave it alone!
Step 7: Set your T-zone with the light highlighter then mist your face with a setting spray to blend it all together. (Tip: Use the Okana Mist Toner from August boxes)
How to prepare your skin for tanning lotions:
Rushing or skipping this stage means patchy, streaky results, so take note of these steps to nourish your skin and enjoy a smooth, even tan without the UV rays.
Exfoliate (Tip: check out the Ahhh Sugar Scrub or So Naturally Homemade Scrub on our Build a Box page) and moisturise every day for a week to buff away dry skin and hydrate newly revealed fresh skin.
Never tan straight after exfoliating. Skin needs a chance to settle or the tan may not take as well. Allow 24 hours (or 12 at the least) following your latest scrub.
Shower before tanning. It’s crucial to remove all traces of other skin care before applying self-tan. Colour occurs when the DHA (dihydroxyacetone) ingredient reacts with the amino acids on the surface of the epidermis. But any residue from products such as moisturiser create a barrier, preventing the tanning agent from penetrating evenly. After your shower, stay cool. Don’t have the water too hot, and ensure the room is cool and airy. Even slight perspiration can cause a developing tan to mottle.
